Club 89.5 Official Contest Rules

Eligibility

Each Club 89.5 contest is open to all adults, 18 and over who are residents in the State of Washington. Employees, volunteers and currently enrolled students of KNHC Radio, the Contest’s participating sponsors and their advertising agencies, and members of the immediate family of any such persons are not eligible to participate and win. Compliance with the eligibility requirements will be determined solely by KNHC. All Federal, State and local laws and regulations apply. Void wherever prohibited or restricted by law. No contribution or purchase is required to enter or win. A contribution or purchase will not increase your chances of winning. Limit one (1) entry per person.

Entries

Club 89.5 members are automatically entered in monthly drawings for tickets to selected event(s). Club members are active DANCE 89.5 donors who have contributed $365 or more in the past 380 days or whose monthly donation of $30 or more has cleared our credit card processor 31 days prior to each contest.

In compliance with the Washington State Gambling Commission regulations, Club 89.5 membership is not required to enter the drawing. One-time entries are accepted between the 1st and the 5th day of each month, online here, or via phone by calling 206-252-3817 during normal weekday business hours. Contest entrants must submit their legal name, email address, valid phone number, and valid mailing address. Limit of one (1) entry per person.

Contest entrants can only win once every thirty (30) days.

KNHC, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the website or who is otherwise in violation of the Official Rules. Entrants agree KNHC has the sole right to decide all matters and disputes arising from this contest and that its decision is final and binding.

KNHC assumes no responsibility for computer system, hardware, software or program malfunctions or other errors, failures, damages, delayed computer transactions or network connections, whether human, technical or otherwise in nature, in conjunction with this contest, participation or in connection with any prize acceptance.

Determination and Awarding of Prizes

KNHC will randomly select a minimum of one (1) Club 89.5 prize winner from the list of eligible entrants on or about the 1st Monday of each month.

The winner will be notified by text message, telephone, or email. Any prize not accepted by the winner within 48 hours of notification may, in KNHC Radio’s sole discretion, be awarded to an alternate winner. If a prize notification e-mail or any prize is returned to KNHC or its designated agent as undeliverable, that prize will be awarded to an alternate winner.

Prizes

One (1) prize winner will receive one or more complimentary tickets to be determined by KNHC. The prize may include a mix of physical tickets, vouchers representing tickets held at will call, or guests list spots to be claimed at will call.

Complimentary event admission is subject to the rules, policies and procedures of the individual event venue. A photo I.D. may be required to gain admission to the event. Seating arrangements, if applicable, are determined by the venue. The retail price of admission is determined by the contracted promoter of the event.

All taxes on prizes, including but not limited to Federal, State and local income and sales taxes, are the responsibility of the winners. Any winner of a prize with a fair market value of $600 USD or more must provide KNHC with their taxpayer identification number prior to receiving prize using the appropriate form (currently Form W-9) obtainable on the IRS website: https://www.irs.gov/forms-pubs/about-form-w-9

No cash equivalent will be made for a prize. Prizes are not redeemable for cash, exchangeable, or transferable. KNHC reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the awarded prize is unavailable for any reason.

If tickets to a performance or event are awarded as a prize, KNHC is not responsible for any cancellation or rescheduling of the performance for any reason and has no obligation to reimburse, refund or otherwise substitute the tickets for another prize should the performance not be rescheduled, or vouchers not issued. Furthermore, KNHC is not responsible for cancellations or delays in travel accommodations (if applicable) and has no obligation to reimburse, refund or otherwise substitute any tickets awarded as a part of a travel prize due to such cancellations or delays.

Odds of Winning

Odds of winning are determined by the total number of entries received.

Release and Indemnification

Entry constitutes permission for KNHC (except where prohibited by law) to use winner’s name, area of residence, and likeness for publicity purposes without additional compensation. By entering, all entrants agree to be bound by the contest rules and further agree to release, indemnify and hold harmless KNHC, its licensee, affiliates, successors and funders, and their respective directors, officers and employees from and against all actions, causes of actions and liability, including attorney’s fees and costs, arising out of or relating to participation in the contest and receipt and use or misuse of the prize awarded.
