The third stop of the DANCE 89.5 Summer Ferry Tour on June 18th was absolutely legendary. We packed up the gear, headed north, and took over the Edmonds to Kingston run for a Thursday afternoon commute that nobody on board is going to forget anytime soon!

Between the picture-perfect PNW weather, an incredible crowd and a truly unforgettable moment at the DJ booth, this stop set a brand-new standard for what a boat party can be.

The sun was out, the Olympic Mountains were showing off, and the breeze on the water was immaculate.

Word got out, and the ships were packed with a mix of daily commuters getting the ultimate afternoon upgrade, and dedicated DANCE 89.5 listeners who walked on just to party with us on the Puget Sound. The energy on the sun decks was electric from the moment we pushed off the dock!

Our very own Harmony Soleil was in the mix, delivering a perfect soundtrack of high-energy summer anthems to match the gorgeous weather. But she wasn’t the only star of the show.

During the set, we had one of the most memorable moments from the entire tour. A 4-year-old mega fan named Henry was brought up to the decks by his parents to say hi and an eye on the decks. During a break between sailings, Harmony Soleil showed him some of the mixing basics and officially introduced him to the crowd as DJ Henry!

Henry got to stand behind the decks, help control the music, and experience his very first “live DJ set”. Safe to say, the crowd absolutely lost it, and we might have just inspired the next generation of electronic music talent right there on the water!
